Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am doing medical research into the effectiveness of daith ear piercing (which stimulates the vagus nerve) to treat migraines. I have an online survey which now has more than 3000 people who have migraines and a piercing (>500 with migraines >10yrs and a piercing >12months), and the results suggest a strong improvement in many.
Obviously, an online survey is self selecting so we cannot use the absolute percentages directly! However there seems to be a strong consistency across different samples and different questions
I am wondering whether there is a way of analysing the large amount of data to show a statistically significant consistency between the responses across the different samples and questions.
This statistical analysis is far more complicated than my simple knowledge, though one person with some knowledge has suggested that linear regression analysis might be the way forward
As a first step I want to get an idea of how the data might best be analysed
Could you send me a CV and I will be happy to send you some of the data which illustrates the consistency to give you a better idea
