This project consists in conducting a technology landscape search for Additively Manufactured Heat Exchangers, for a major HVAC and Process Cooling OEM.
The project goals are to:
o Find out who the global leaders are in academia, industry (startups and established companies), and with Additive Manufacturing equipment manufacturers
o Discover state of the art designs/applications for Additively Manufactured Heat Exchangers,
o Understand technology development and adoption trends for next 5 years
Project divided into 3 deliverables:
o List of 10 to 20 (as applicable) global leaders in AM HX R&D and Product/Technology Development, for the following fields: academia (by number of papers/citations/patents/relevance…), industry – startups (by VC funding/footprint/patents/number of clients…), industry – established companies (by number of product lines/AM HX R&D budget/Partnerships/Acquisitions/Patents…), and AM hardware/software providers - printers, software, materials… (by number of customers/revenue/foorprint/Patents…)
o Report (4 to 7 pages) on state-of-the-art designs and applications for AM HX – general technology landscape with a deeper dive into Automotive, Appliances (and similar consumer goods), HVAC-R, and Process/Industrial Cooling applications
o Report (4 to 7 pages) technology development and adoption trends for the next 3 to 5 years - general technology landscape with a deeper dive into Automotive, Appliances (and similar consumer goods), HVAC-R, and Process/Industrial Cooling applications
The ideal freelancer for this is an individual with technology scouting/data mining/market research experience and preferably a basic understanding of 3D printing/Additive Manufacturing and Heat Exchanger design and fabrication.
