Ögnio is looking for an enterprising and driven social researcher to conduct a series of qualitative interviews in the London area. Our work is community- and civic-oriented, and our research broadly focuses on how we can enhance people's interactions with each other in cities. This post would be ideal for someone who wants to get involved in a young start-up that seeks to drive meaningful social change through innovation. Students and non-academic researchers are warmly encouraged to reach out. If this assignment sounds like it's up your alley, we look forward to hearing from you.

Responsibilities and Timeframe
You will conduct a series of interviews in the London area during January and February 2016. The assignment will last for approximately 6 weeks.
During this time period, you will recruit participants, carry out the interviews and assist with both transcription and analysis.
You will collaborate directly with our international team and work remotely.

Qualifications
Essential:
A desire to generate meaningful social change and shape business outcomes through qualitative research.
Enthusiastic about engaging with people, listening and observing.
An interest in the intersection between cities and technology.
Eager to work with a dynamic start-up and global team.
Able to operate independently while within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Nice-to-have:
Knowledge and experience in qualitative research techniques, especially with unstructured and semi-structured interviews.
Knowledge and experience in quantitative research techniques is an advantage.
Prior research experience in a non-academic environment (such as user research) is an advantage.
An undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as sociology, anthropology, human geography, political science, urban planning or human-computer interaction.

It would be fairly important to know how many interviews and what the criteria are for recruitment / inclusion. Also to what extent is transcription a part of the work? Thanks
