Global Sustainability Products
Product Disclosure & Business Plan
1. What are global Sustainability Products
Global Sustainability Products are products that would meet the concerns of equitable and sustainable development of the world on a global scale. The GSP programme would hold a list of products that are identified as global sustainability products which will be promoted and deployed by the Global Sustainability Initiative (GSI) Programme which is the parent organisation of Global Sustainability Products (GSP).
The GSP will effect the deployment of the products through various manufacturing arrangements throughout the world as well as facilitate the deployment of technology of manufacture, decentralising the manufacture of the product and make available the product to the needy promoting sustainable development.
The product pricing of the products will comply with pricing policy of the GSI Programme based on promoting equitable purchasing power by attaining uniform value for price average income ratio for the product price throughout the world
2. The GSI private sector participation for Global Sustainability
GSP offers private sector companies and multi nationals the opportunity for participation in global sustainable development.
3. The Company Global Sustainability Products (GSP)
The enterprise GSP is organised as a global company registered in each country offering the new products for manufacture to local companies. The Company will also engage in direct manufacture wherever necessary.
To start with the GSI and GSP are owned by the convenor & founder A.R.Arular
The products are initially owned by the GSP Company and when placing identified global sustainability products for manufacture by entering into agreement with private companies, the GSP, the inventor and the manufactures who will deploy the technology will share the ownership of the new enterprise on a GSP 15%, Inventor 15%, Deployer 70% basis.
The new company will be owned by the GSP Programme, the inventor and the partnership Company which will be responsible for the management and decide the nature of any further investment.
The GSP, in time to come, will be owned by GSI programme, Private and Institutional Investors
Initially it is planned to identify and hold 1000 products as Global sustainability products and the sister company Global Sustainability Ventures will identify and hold 1000 ventures as Global Sustainability Ventures.
4. Listing a Product as Global Sustainability Product.
As sustainability products are not necessarily appropriate technology products but very advanced technological products as well, listing products as satiability product will be carried out through established criteria which will be done through Sustainability Appraisal of the proposed product by the GFSI programme.
Once a product idea has been accepted as a sustainability product, the manufacturing and technology deployment capacity will be developed and will be made available to the needy on a global scale to effect sustainable development.
The technology will be made available to the entire globe and products specific to cultural markets will also be included in the list.
Product manufacturing will also be carried out by private companies. Private companies that deploy the technology will also be able to manufacture and export the product complying with equitable pricing policy.
5. The product development programme.
The following methods will be adopted in developing the listed products and ventures.
1. Development by the company GSP
2. Development in partnership with private sector companies where the companies become the Deployer of the product
3. Development in partnership with private sector companies where the GSP become the Deployer.
6. The Global market division of the GSP Programme.
So as to bring about effective deployment of the product throughout the world, the global market has been divided by the GSP programme into three. These markets are,
1. Europe and Africa
2. Asia & Pacific
3. America North& South.
GSP will make available identified products within all three market zones. In engaging private companies GSP will allocate products for all three markets individually so that at least one company within each market division will have the right to engage in R&D and manufacture the product.
However, companies, that have a global presence and which can demonstrate the will to deploy the product in all three markets, will be enabled to acquire the product right for deployment in all three or any two of the market zones.
7. Country wise allocation of first three hundred products
With the intention of effecting global participation in the programme of sustainable development through sustainability product identification and deployment, the initially identified 300 Products have been allocated to different countries. As there is opportunity to purchase the global right at first disclosure, the allocated products, within countries will disclosed for the first time. If the global right or any additional market right has not been acquired at the first disclosure, the product will be made available to other markets.
The programme will be expanded to include all countries that will be able to participate in the global sustainability product deployment programme.
8. Product licensing for development.
Products identified as global sustainability products will be disclosed and licensed to private institutions that will develop the product. The company that develops the product will also hold the right to manufacture the product along with GSP in addition to the right of technology deployment for manufacture.
9. The patent right of the product.
The inventor of the product will hold the patent right of the product. Product development can also be carried out by effecting disclosure of the inventions or inventive ideas under a secrecy agreement with private companies and the patents can be joint patents where the name of the first inventor shall be included as the first name followed by individual or company name who would have made additional contribution for design evolution.
10. Disclosure procedure
The products will be disclosed through a presentation that will include members of the GSI programme and the private companies. The presentations will include two parts each 1 hour.
The first part will be the philosophical underpinning of Global Sustainability Product Development Programme and the sustainability context of the particular product.
