What I need: 1) details about what kinds of companies buy customer experience consulting services and who the buyers would be within those companies and 2) assessment of potential market for it in the Los Angeles region.
Context: I am applying for a position with a Seattle-based company that provides customer experience consulting to large, well-know brands that is looking to expand its footprint in the Los Angeles region and need to get smart about what kinds of companies would be their target clients, how many of them are in the Los Angeles region (market size and opportunity), what kind of people in the company would be the buyers of this services e.g., CMO, COO, ?), get a target customer list, and have supporting statistics/ information that is needed to make a go/no go decision about whether they should expand here or not.
Details: I need to know:
• What kinds of companies buy customer experience consulting services?
• Who in the company would be the buyer of these services (e.g., CMO, COO, Sales, ...?)
• How many of these companies are in the Los Angeles region? (size of addressable market and corresponding list of potential buyers - to include relevant Fortune 1000 and other large companies headquartered there)
• Types of companies currently in the region in (industries) and which are projected to increase (types of companies projected to HQ there)
• Competitors (other companies providing similar services to this target market) and their addressable market share
• Potential barriers to entry
• Cost of labor (as compared to Seattle, WA)
• Anything else I should be thinking about related to wanting to sell these services in this region
