Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
i have just split up with my partner of three years. (not married). She has being living in my house for the last 18 months and paying approximately a third towards bills/ mortgage. The last 18 months also, her mom has given her a gift(s) adding up to the sum of approximately £18000.
Now we have split up her mom/ partner is wanting the full sum of gifts back and she will not move out of the house until I pay her back. The house is now on the market to be sold. I dont mind paying her back as i think it is only fair.
The house is all in my name and bills are also in my name. She does have her name on the council tax and she has payements each month going into my account towards the bills
What i do want to know is what is she legally entitled to?
Can i ask her to leave and change the locks?
How much of the house is she entitled too?
