Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I am a student who purchased specialist equipment with a disable student allowance from a DSA-QAG registered firm
One of the goods was a voice recorder which becomes faulty in March 2012.
I have sent them many emails which they ignored and eventually I made a complain to them and finally to the DSA-QAG. They then rang me up to organise collection and were rude, abusive and accusing me of lying.
The goods were collected in front of a witness and signed over to the courier. However they are disputing that they received a parcel and that they received another item instead.
This sounds very controversial as they had no intentions of repairing the goods in the first place.
It has been 1 month and they have not replied to my letters, my last asking to refund me or that I would be taking them to court and reporting the matter further to the DSA-QAG.
I then complained further to the DSA-QAG and then only did the firm then replied stating that I should send them photographic evidence of the item before it was collected and the collection number.
They already have the collection number.
The DSA-QAG has not been helpful either as they aren’t too familiar with the laws, they are insisting that I send them the photographs and collection number. I also asked the DSA-QAG if I take this dispute complaint further with them and I loose, is there a policy which will mean I cannot take this matter to the small claims court but they did not comment.
My university starts soon and I need to purchase a new voice recorder.
I need some legal help to resolve this matter soon as the firm are trying to avoid this matter. As far as I am concerned they recived the voice recorder.
