Description
I want to be able to use my own logo colours in Word and Powerpoint, without putting in the RGB composition each time.
I've tried adding the colours and making a 'theme', but I don't like how that means you need to assign a colour to different things eg fill shapes / hyperlink / outlines / text / accents, and those things then default to that colour. What I want to be able to do is click on my own colour swatch each time I'm wanting a colour and choose from it. I have seen this (had this facility) when working in offices before, but can't find how to do it.
It is just for one user / computer - I run my own one-man small business - and am on windows 10 and office 365/2016.
Let me know if you can help - with a price.
Cheers

I know how you can achieve this easily, but not quite in the way you would like, it is a work around but quick and effective.
Judith R.23 Apr 2017I'm open to workarounds - anything to make this work! From some of the queries, just to clarify what I need:
- it needs to work across Word as well as Powerpoint (and ideally Excel/OUtlook but less essential)
- I don't want it to be tied to a theme, assuming that it's a theme that's currently forcing me to use certain colours for certain functions (so if I insert a new shape it's always in one particular colour etc)
- ideally I'd like to create a whole 'swatch' / palette - so have more customised colours than just the 8/10 allowed on one row of the normal customising one ... I've seen this in big organisations but no idea how they've done it (perhaps an add-on?). At the moment, in my theme I've managed to customise the colours but that is just the top row and below that they automatically choose different shades which aren't exactly what I want.
Hope that helps clarify - fingers crossed!
Mark R.23 Apr 2017Do you have the colour(s) you want to add, I will have a play around with this - I think the normal and masters need to be edited, not sure. Word you can do by using styles and saving in the normal template. But that means you have to select one and use it for it to go into the recently used pallet - I have another method but I need to try it - not done this before.
If you let me have the colours I will see if I can get to work, I am using Office 2016, is that the same for you?
