Description of support work: Hi
I have a QNAP NAS server which i've been using previously plugged into a router and using a gigabit switch to network it out to several computers.
I've just moved office and now using shared office wi-fi with no direct access to the router so need help to re-set-up the QNAP NAS server to plugged directly into one computer and the create a secure VPN account on the QNAP NAS server so i can also access the server from home.
I will also need the server set-up to backup onto an external hard drive. This was all working fine before the move but assume now IP addresses have changed it's now a matter of adjusting a few settings to suit the new environment.
Obviously it's important that all storage on the server is kept as is.
Brief:
1. QNAP NAS server re-set-up and connected directly to a single computer.
2. QNAP NAS server secure VPN account to be accessed remotely
3. Back-up to external hard drive set-up or configured
4. Time machine back-up re-set-up to external HD or server.
I'm also working with Apple Macs.
I will be looking at this to be done Monday morning around 10am UK time.
thanks
Justin
