Hi
I had a 15'' MacBook Pro which would try to reset itself every few hours. Sometimes when I was working - or if I just opened my computer after an hour or two - I saw a dialogue message from a program (such as Word) with unsaved work which said, "Do you want to save your work". I pressed cancel and that stopped the attempted reboot. Often it was other programs with unsaved work so it's not a Word issue. It was up to date with the latest version of MacOS and all relevant updates etc.
Apple said it needed to go to them for the hardware to be checked and could take 1-2 weeks. I had a new MacBook Pro which I was due to give to a new employee next month so I decided to start using that whilst my old one was repaired. I transferred everything across from my old laptop using Migration Assistant and to my surprise, the continual reboot attempts are still happening. Clearly it's not a hardware issue.
I have had Console running during two of these attempts and I'm hoping that someone is able to read through them and hopefully see what has caused this reboot request.
Thanks,
Andrew
