Description of support work: We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced 2nd Line Support Technician to join our growing I.T. company on a freelance basis.
With over 1,000 end-user terminals running our software you will provide 2nd line support directly to end-users, escalated from the 1st line support desk. Support issues will be of a much more technical nature than basic I.T. problems which will be filtered by 1st line staff.
This is a full-time, permanent, work from home role (35 hours/week). You must have a capable PC and a solid, reliable Internet connection.
Key Requirements
* Solid experience working within an IT support environment
* Solid experience and demonstrable knowledge of SQL querying and managing / maintaining MySQL databases
* Intimate knowledge of Windows - diagnosing and resolving complex problems, driver conflicts, etc
* Good communication skills and organisation skills
* Resourceful and investigative nature
* Excellent customer service and inter-personal skills
Full training will be provided on our software but the successful applicant must be a fast learner.
