Description
1. Each month, a spreadsheet is sent out to suppliers requesting that they quote their best nett pricing for the category for the coming month.
2. These returns are received entered into the ‘STAGE 1’ tab, and compared against the competitors. A ‘MARKET PRICE’ is created from the average price of all bids.
3. Suppliers with prices submitted that are higher than the ‘MARKET PRICE’ are invited to quote again, with the requotes entered into the ‘STAGE 2’ tab.
4. Once pricing has been agreed, the suppliers are emailed, instructing them to lock their pricing, add the relevant rebates, and upload the prices onto the Procure Wizard purchase to pay platform for approval.
Aims
1. To create a ‘Supplier Master Spreadsheet’ template that has the formulae and hyperlinks built in to allow comparisons to be calculated automatically once tabs are populated, and to send out requests for pricing and requote requests with one click.
2. Additionally, we are looking to create a second master spreadsheet where, once the final nett pricing is agreed on the ‘Supplier Master Spreadsheet’, the agreed prices can be dropped into the ‘Customer Master Spreadsheet’, rebates applied to the nett pricing, and with ‘one click’, the price files will then be sent out to the customer.

I would be interested in submitting a proposal for this, but I really need some more information to determine your exact requirements. Ideally I would like to discuss it with you. If you have a specific example of what you are doing at the moment, that could be helpful.
In particular, where do your formulae come from? What are the hyperlinks for? Are you getting data from external websites and, if so, is this in a machine readable format? Does your application need to send out emails as part of the automation process?Graeme G.11 Aug 2016Hi Simon,
The formulae come from our spreadsheet that we use at the moment. The hyperlinks would link prices to email addresses. We hope to be able to have something that will send out an email at 'a click of a button'. All data would be dropped into the spreadsheet from submissions received from our suppliers.
Hope this clarifies things!
GraemeSimon C.11 Aug 2016Thanks Graeme, that does help. There is another important question. Are you intending to uses Excel for the spreadsheet? I was assuming this but realise you have not specified it.
