Description
Experience Level: Expert
Overview
Imperial War Museums are looking for an analytics consultant to provide interim support to Imperial War Museums while we recruit to a permanent in-house role. This opportunity would suit an individual consultant, or very small consultancy that is able to spend time with their clients to help understand their business objectives and the analytics set up that will best suit them, and then work through reports, recommendations, direct implementation and training to improve and develop the client’s insight capability.
Likely activities
The support we are looking for includes:
• Consultancy and analysis of our present and future analytics needs
• Review and audit of our current (Google) analytics set up across mutliple web platforms
• Outline plan of action across our analytics to bridge the gap between where we are currently and where we need to get to to meet our needs, broken into categories:
1. Urgent
2. quick fixes
3. medium-term
4. long-term
• Implementation: addressing the urgent issues and potentially quick fixes directly
• Bespoke training and potentially coaching for diverse teams across the organisation to enable them to self-serve for straightforward analytics needs (teams include digital content, UX development, marketing, schools and learning, e-commerce)
• Ad hoc interim support for analytics requests beyond our capability until we fill permanent role
• (Potentially) ongoing ad hoc support to enable our in-house recruit to address the medium-term and long-term issues
Deliverables
- Report covering present and future analytics needs & audit of current set up
- Urgent issues implementation
- Development and delivery of in-house training
- Onboarding of new recruit
Who we are looking for
You must have:
• Experience working on analytics for large organisation(s) with web estates that cover multiple platforms
• Extensive Google Analytics experience from strategy to implementation
• Experience creating and delivering training
• The ability to run interviews and focus groups with stakeholders to understand their business and analytics needs
• Excellent communication skills and ability to create reports that break down analytics needs and development plans for those with little practical knowledge of Google Analytics
You must also:
• Be able to work onsite at our London office in Lambeth for at least some of the project
What we offer
• Flexibility in the development of our brief above into a work plan
• Flexibility in how you deliver with ability to work remotely as appropriate
• Competitive day rate, for negotiation
• The option to extend and deepen the relationship if we can demonstrate your input adds value
Timeframe
This is flexible, but we would like to progress this work in 2018 and certainly by the end of February 2019.
