Experience Level: Intermediate
We now urgently require an experienced Business Analyst to discover business requirements and translate them into user stories suitable for Agile/Scrum development teams. Experience in the online gambling sector would be an advantage but is not essential for the right candidate.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for discovering the requirements through active investiga-tion with operational personnel and regular meeting with the senior management team. The right candidate will have the personality to engage with people from all parts of the organisation and elicit requirements. They will also be skilled in translating these requirements to a form suitable for use as user stories. The BA will also work with the QA team in helping to define acceptance criteria.
The successful candidate will be working on multiple web based/e-Commerce projects and will report into the Chief Technology Officer.
Requirements:
• 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in an online web-facing environment as well as prior experience in IT.
• Experience of writing Agile/Scrum user stories
• Experience of writing Acceptance criteria
• University degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to understand and comprehend business requirements quickly and thoroughly
• Ability to communicate with non-IT personnel to discover requirements
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with software developers and project managers
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative in a dynamic business environment
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong relationship management skills
• Articulate, persuasive and authoritative
• Desire to live and work in Dublin
Desirable:
• Knowledge of the gambling industry
• Ability to mock up representations of web pages/flows
• Experience of Mobile Apps as well as Web applications
