Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
We are seeking a bilingual (English/German) researcher to perform highly targeted web/literature research and conduct interviews for a US-based social-issues Foundation with significant programming in Germany and that runs a yearly award program in Berlin. (The award program is covered extensively by German media and media elsewhere.) This work is critical support to a strategic planning effort. Your work will help us better understand particular aspects of the landscape of individuals and organizations working in Germany on the preservation of Jewish history, reconciliation, anti-xenophobia, anti-bias education, intercultural and intergenerational exchange. We'd like you to be someone who is comfortable conducting interviews in German and then providing notes/synthesizing ideas in English. Experience with academic research on social issues or with landscape research on behalf of a business or consulting organization is a plus. Enthusiasm for the topics involved is also a plus. :-) We expect to have about 40 hours of work between now and early June, with the possibility of additional work later on.
