Description of consulting work: Car Parking Project for a startup company.
To write up and deliver following documents to Bank as full credit analysis looking for bank credit facilty :
– Financial Model Development:
- Develop a comprehensive 25 year model to understand the viability of the project.
- The financial model would allow flexibility for varying the phasing of each of the components and associated ramp up of demand and escalation of prices
- The model would be designed to present a consolidated annualized income statement, balance sheet and cash flow for the project
- The model needs to be parametrized to allow for sensitivity analysis and different financial structuring
-The outputs would include return metrics including ROE, ROCE, ROIC, IRR, DSCR, etc.
-The model would be designed to allow for quick changes in the base parameters to understand the impact on the overall viability and to run sensitivities and scenarios
-We would liaise closely with the Project Manager of the consortium to get periodic feedback on the structure, flexibility and outputs
– Bankable Business Case
-In this stream, the completed model would be fed with the latest information available from the group.
-The model and outputs would now be discussed at length to develop a base case scenario which takes into account the data limitations and changing market dynamics. The objective of this scenario is to understand the financial dynamics and accessibility of the most conservative assumptions.
-Other cases would be developed to highlight various opinions and positions on the development and revenue of the project
-Once the scenarios are locked, would document the financial viability and business case in a slide deck for submission.
-The final consolidated document would be a bankable business case that builds from all previous phases
-The proposed outline for the Business Case would include:
o Market Scan
o Revenue Streams o Target customers o Pricing Strategy
o Market entry route
o High-level organization structure (CEO+ top level) o Critical success factors
o Financial Assumptions and outputs
-Risk areas and mitigation approach
-Our deliverable for the project would be a bankable business case that includes results and calculation of the detailed financial model. Also included, as part of this scope and fee are three additional scenarios once the finalized report is issued.
- full working excel model would be preferred/required and Word Doc, and High level PowerPoint . Full working, being, linking the assumptions/totals to the final numbers shown in the income, balance sheet and cash flow statements (rather than being hard coded as at present).
Secondly, with regards to the underlying assumptions.
- Revenue: hourly rental – reason for presuming 60% occupancy on weekdays and 65% on weekends – on what basis is this being assumed?
- The same should be done for all the other revenue and cost assumptions.
All required information will be provided during writing. Also supported documents will be provided.
- Profissional presentation, colors, charts, writing.
