Hi Garry,
I am planning to start an online used book store trading on both eBay and Amazon and I need your expertise in the design of the following business processes (all documented on SOPs) with performance metrics:
1. Shopfront design/layout process, graphics, built-in links, etc.
2. Product listing process, with due consideration to cost, accuracy, speed and marketing quality (keywords/search words)
3. Buying process, including the research process for identifying books/categories with the best profit potential. Also, developing buying criteria e.g. condition, category, format, year of publication, etc.
4. Dispatch process, including packaging & posting with consideration to cost, speed & accuracy for both domestic & international sales.
5. Promotion process, with consideration to value. Advertising platforms / Loyalty programmes, etc.
They should also identify support systems (software apps) and other resources required to make them effective (e.g. skills)
The expected scale of operation which is an average inventory of 3000 books stored in the garage in the back garden should guide your work (and pricing).
