We are looking for a business development exec / lead generation / sales person to help generate new business for our accountancy practice.
PLEASE NOTE - APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FROM OUR MILTON KEYNES OFFICE, AT LEAST FOR THE SHORT TERM
As a new role, the successful candidate will play a large part in developing and defining the role, designing and implementing a business development strategy, and, in a nutshell, bringing in new clients.
Working 10-15 hours per week, (times/days are to be mutually agreed and can be flexible.) Commission payable on successful sales in addition to hourly rate
Key Responsibilities:
Create new business opportunities through marketing-generated leads and pro-active telephone work to both existing customers and new business prospects in the UK;
Achieve new business appointment targets;
Deliver relevant and suitable sales materials, via conference calls and email to prospective clients in order to secure new business opportunity;
Develop an in-depth understanding of customer needs and alternative competitive solutions;
Give structured feedback to marketing and Line Manager/Sales Directors in order to identify and improve the value proposition to customers;
Maintain proactive contact with prospective clients to build ongoing relationships and improve the potential additional sales in the future;
Manage time effectively to achieve optimum level of time engaging with new prospects and existing customers;
Conduct research and maintain detailed knowledge of customer base to generate sufficient quality appointments to pass to our Sales Team;
Regularly update the Capsule CRM system daily to reflect work completed.
Experience and Skillset required:
At least 2 years in commercial experience in a Business Development focused B2B environment
Demonstrated experience meeting and exceeding sales targets
Comfortable working in a KPI focused environment
Excellent communications skills and ability to liaise at all levels, both within the Company and with external organisations
Knowledge and experience of Capsule and/or similar CRM systems
Demonstrated customer focus and strong relationship building skills
To be successful in this role you will have…
The ability to develop a good rapport, via the phone, with external clients and prospects
The ability to influence, persuade and direct individuals to good effect
The skills necessary to get past the ‘gatekeeper’
The ability to ‘close’ appointments
Self-motivation and drive, goal-orientated with the ability to work on own initiative while also contributing effectively as part of a team
Strong organisation and sales planning skills
Ability to multi-task
You must have experience of working in Business to Business (B2B) sales with any product.
It is vital that you have worked as Internal Sales, Telesales or Account Management, or a highly related sales level position.
For this role, it is essential you have experience of Sales and New Business generation over the telephone.
You must be able to cold call customers of various sizes to agree Terms of Business, opening accounts and winning new business.
It is essential that you have good administration skills and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.
