Description of Business Development: We are a small start-up focused on selling "Smart City" technology products and services to local governments and public sector companies around the world, mostly in developing countries. We have been developing a network of strategic partners and are often receiving inquiries about our solutions from various city officials and business people. We are looking for an intelligent and energetic business development assistant to communicate with potential partners, clients and investors and to assist in a variety of administrative tasks. You will initially be paid a small monthly remuneration. After three months, upon evaluation of your performance, you may be offered an equity share in the company.
The ideal candidate would:
* have extraordinary business communication skills, with fluent written and oral English;
* be fluent in at least one of the following languages (more than one is a big plus): French, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese (Mandarin);
* have deep understanding and affinity for modern technology, IT, enterprise software and business process management;
* management consulting experience is a big plus;
* experience with documentation for public tenders and/or raising finance is a plus;
* IT sales experience is a big plus
Extra notes: The ideal candidate will be located in or near London, or at least be able to travel to London for a face-to-face meeting about once a month. Exceptions to this might be allowed for otherwise outstanding candidates.
