Finance and Benefits Administration
The majority of the Finance Manager’s time is spent overseeing the financial database (QuickBooks), reconciling accounts, tracking assets, creating reports and projections, helping develop an annual operational budget, assisting a third party CPA with the annual audit, and administering benefits
• Provide monthly reports to staff and the Finance Committee, quarterly reports to the Board of Directors, and annual reports for grant-seeking opportunities and publication purposes.
• Submit annual reports such as the Corporation Commission annual report, Annual Sales Tax report, Affidavit for Tax Exemption, IRS Form 1096 and related Forms 1099. This position is also responsible for vehicle registrations at DMV since renewals require authorization to request tax exemption on vehicle taxes.
• Act as a contact point for grant activity within the organization. Maintain an on-going list of grant proposals and awards, review all budgets accompanying grant proposals, maintain all grant and funding correspondence, and supply monthly project reports to grant managers.
• Distribute and enter timesheets, adjust payroll information, file corresponding paperwork, prepare distribution of paychecks.
• Manage Sec 125 plans and payroll accruals, provide communication link between employees and benefits providers, oversee the renewal of fringe benefit plans.
• Research corporate liability concerns and issues, provide annual workers comp audit information to insurance provider, file claims as needed, oversee renewal of liability insurance

• Oversee Membership and Finance Assistant in managing vendor accounts and maintaining up-to-date lists of authorized users. Authorize these changes and help apply for new credit accounts as needed.
Accounts Receivable
• Manage accounts receivable.
• Enter income into the finance database.
• Oversee the Membership and Finance Assistant in processing deposits and ensure that internal controls are followed.
