Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
General information for the business: Owner/manager Ltd Company
Kind of support: Budgeting, End of year account, Tax
Description of support work: Hi
I have a Ltd company, incorporated in 2013 but about to start trading.
My long term goal is to set up a business managing office relocation's and designing office space. In the meantime, I will be contracting through my Ltd company supplying a range of services including web design, usability analysis, project management, business analysis, etc.
I will be trading from April and I am looking for help in 2 ways:
1. Initial set-up, tax planning etc. I want to make sure I am legal, compliant and making the most out of the money I will have coming in. I have a range of questions regarding flat rate VAT, expenses, paying dividends to myself and my husband, insurance requirements, etc. that I would like help to understand and plan accordingly. I want to make sure I am setting aside the correct amounts each month, that I am set up in the best possible way, that I have all of the tools I need (dividend certs, etc.) and that I am aware of all of my legal obligations.
2. Whilst I'm happy to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, paying HMRC, etc. I would like someone I can trust to provide periodic support with filing annual returns, corporation tax returns, reviewing self-assessment return, etc. and any other specific legal requirements that could I could get myself into trouble with :) I am looking for someone that I can grow with as the business takes shape.
Happy to do this on a fixed price basis or per hour. I am mindful of the budget, as I am just starting out so don't have a large turnover initially but appreciate the need for expert help with this.
I am happy to work on a fixed price basis for the initial help and an hrly rate or fixed price per service for the latter.
Extra notes: I have not yet settled on specific software yet - I am currently trialling Sage One, QuickBooks and Xero.
Kind of support: Budgeting, End of year account, Tax

Hi Emma, VAT reg not needed until turnover gets to £83k, use Xero or Quickbooks, come back in 9-12 months time to get your accounts done. Simple really
Emma B.12 Feb 2017Hi
Thank you, but not quite what I'm looking for.Francis E.12 Feb 2017I wouldn't have thought so, but with few initial requirements I didn't think that a bid would produce a worthwhile return.
