Blackberry and Android application
New mobile app is simple, for Andriod/blackberry
Apart from the setup screen, the app has no interface and just sits in the background.
What does it do?
a) When a user makes a call to a mobile number (to a number for the first time, ie the app (or in the phone, contacts) has not seen the number before and its not in the phone diary (unless just added)), it sends to the number called a business card with your details
or
b) When a user gets a call to their mobile from a mobile number (from a number for the first time ie the app (or in the phone, contacts) has not seen the number before and its not in the phone diary (unless just added)), the application sends to the caller a business card with your details
If the phones cant send a business card (maybe to stop premium texts, we can also send from a central platform -http://www.bulksms.co.uk/), but that is far from ideal, but if it’s the only way.
If we cant intercept the incoming calls, suggest we can scan the call log periodically???
What is the setup
a) The user creates business card details
a. Business name
b. Address
c. Postcode
d. Contact name
e. Tel number (mobile)
f. Tel number (DDI)
g. Tel office
h. Fax
i. Email
j. Website
k. Photo??? If possible?
b) The system sends the details as a sms business card (is this the best method maybe vcd/mms support now?) and the business card format v-card (in formats that are irrelevant of the phone type as much as possible)
Commercials
Basic App is free (5 business card texts per day in and out) but must Users register, Pro App is £1.49 unlimited businesses texts, again users register.
a. We then store their business card centrally
b. If they send their business card to someone we check if the someone (is the number sent to is a registered member)
i. If the person sent to is a registered member of our service we then send the details of both people via email
ii. So person a calls person b (for the first time), the app sends the business card to person b mobile number, and sends our servers the person a mobile and person b mobile
iii. We Notice person a mobile and person b mobile are on our platform so we send person a and email with person b’s details, and we send person a’s details to person b’s email as a sms/vcd/mms.
iv. We are now in effect developing a linkedin type service!
Let me know if you want to develop this and the cost (I want a fixed price, but happy we lock down the spec).
