I'm looking for a Python developer to help add several AI-powered features to an existing web application.

The work includes integrating an AI API, processing user input, improving response quality, and connecting the application with existing backend services.

The ideal candidate should have experience with Python, REST APIs, and AI API integrations. Clean code, good communication, and attention to detail are important.

This is a freelance project for my own application. If everything goes well, there may be additional work in the future.

    Which AI provider are you planning to use (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, Azure OpenAI, or another), or would you like the integration to remain model-agnostic?
    Is the existing backend built with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or another Python framework?
    Are the AI features purely conversational, or do they also need to perform structured tasks such as document processing, workflow automation, data extraction, or recommendations?
    Should the AI have access to your application's existing database or business data, and if so, are you considering a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) approach?
    How important are response speed and operating costs? Should we implement streaming responses, caching, batching, or other optimizations?
    Do you already have prompt designs and expected outputs, or would prompt engineering and response optimization be part of the engagement?
    Will the AI need to call existing backend services or external APIs as part of its reasoning and task execution?
    Are there authentication, audit logging, or data privacy requirements that the AI integration must comply with?
    Would you be available for a brief architecture discussion before development? Reviewing the current application and identifying the correct integration points upfront usually leads to a much cleaner implementation and avoids unnecessary refactoring later.
