I want a software developed to allow me to be able to upload PDF / SketchUp / DWG plans for a house, as well as Permit descriptions, and for the software to estimate the construction budget, using the rules to be extrapolated from the Excel we currently use to manually input all the details. I will provide several projects already estimated in the Excel, so that we can check the software is working correctly. It will also need to list confidence level, a budget range, assumptions made. It will need to present the results in a list and informative document that can be sent to potential clients as part of a quote package. We need to be able to change and update rules and pricing easily moving forward.

    - What information do you normally need to extract from the PDF, SketchUp, and DWG plans to prepare an estimate? For example, should the system identify floor areas, room dimensions, quantities, materials, doors/windows, levels, roof details, or other construction elements automatically?

    - How should the rules and pricing management work for your team? Should administrators be able to update individual material prices, labour rates, markups, formulas, regional costs, project-specific rules, and effective dates through a dashboard without changing the software code?

    - How would you like the system to calculate and present the confidence level, budget range, and assumptions? Do you already have rules for determining confidence based on the quality/completeness of the plans and available information, or should these rules be defined during the project?

    Are all files of the same format follow the same layout?
    For example, are all PDF files have the same layout, and DWG files have the same structure?
