AI Solutions Consultant

We are seeking an AI Solutions Consultant to help us identify ways to implement AI solutions across our business processes. You’ll work closely with all our internal teams to find ways to improve our workflows using AI, and recommend high-impact, scalable AI solutions for us to implement that save time, organize work, improve outputs, or automate rote manual tasks. We are looking for applicants with proven experience applying AI tools in the past for a wide variety of professional firms, such as accounting, legal, medical, dental, engineering and building design architects.

We are a ten person, growing Building Energy Engineering firm based in NYC. We help to decrease energy use for large commercial buildings. We are not involved in any robotics, mechanization, industrial design, or supply chains – our only work is to review the heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, controls, windows and doors of existing buildings. This is a four week fully-remote assignment to provide a detailed 3-5 page document with a dozen or more recommendations to conceptually implement AI at the firm in targeted ways, across all departments, focusing on marketing, base report writing, sales, human resources and more. The report will include immediate recommendations, 1-2 year recommendations and long term recommendations, fully explained and detailed. It will provide recommendations on the qualifications and skills needed in an AI Solutions Engineer who could implement your suggestions (this does not involve posting on external job sites or recruiting on our behalf). The draft document is due after the second week, then the revision due after the third week, with the final report due after the fourth week.

It will help for candidates to share similar work from the past along with all education, certifications and training. Please describe prior work and client references (emails/phone numbers may be requested after selection).

Responsibilities:
Locate opportunities for AI use across business and engineering processes (no engineering experience is required).
Recommend specific AI tools, platforms and workflow integrations (off-the-shelf when possible) to address these opportunities.
Clearly communicate these AI solutions in non-technical language to team members.
Provide criteria for selecting an AI Solutions Engineer with the specialties needed to implement your recommendations.

Qualifications:
Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
A bachelor’s degree.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of existing AI tools and platforms, including new cutting-edge systems.
A comprehensive understanding of standard business practices.
Experience applying AI to streamline operations in professional business contexts.
