Set up my system for structured AI-assisted coding

Hi,

I'm building a very custom tech platform for community governance, and I'll be directing much of the build myself with AI assistance. I don't want to spend weeks climbing the learning curve, so I'm looking for someone to set my system up properly and hand it over to me in plain language.

What I'd like to end up with:

- A working setup on my machine where I can give the AI clear instructions on an ongoing basis and see exactly what it changed
- Project instructions written into the codebase (a CLAUDE.md or equivalent) so the AI understands my platform's own rules, terms and logic rather than defaulting to generic patterns
- Version control set up properly, so nothing is ever lost and any mistake can be rolled back
- A safe place to test changes before they touch the live service
- A simple, reliable way to deploy updates to production once I'm happy with them
- A recorded handover session and a one-page cheat sheet, written for someone who is not a developer

My setup: I'm on Windows. I currently have a few specifications i want the MVP to have. . Happy to share more privately.
