Hi there,
I am looking for a virtual assistant to assist on an ad-hoc basis.
(No specific times or days, just as and when. Will likely be anything between 1 hour and 10 hours per week. You can do the work at any times that suit you as long as the work gets done).
The person needs to have the following:
Extremely reliable
Excellent level of spoken and written English if not mother tongue
Transcription experience
Highly skilled with MS Word and Excel. PowerPoint a bonus
Works quickly to deliver work with a good turnaround time
Pays attention to detail and takes care in their work. Does not submit with errors
Reads briefs / instructions thoroughly to understand and delivers only relevant work
Responds within a few hours to requests / acknowledges requests
Sends updates periodically so I’m aware of the status of tasks / projects
Research skills
Writing skills (for articles and blog posts) would be a bonus
Available for Skype phone calls if required (sometimes tasks may need additional clarification
Ability to work with Google calendars
Ability to work with LastPass
Keep all work confidential
Someone who keeps their time well and invoices correctly for hours worked
The reason for some of these requirements is because unfortunately I have worked with individuals in the past that are very “slap-dash” in their work.
They do the minimum to get the job done and don’t take any care to make sure their client is actually satisfied. They then give excuses when asked and say they were not well or had some other drama.
Some freelancers are excellent and do just what they say they will do – I’m looking for someone like this!
All work is remote so any conscientious virtual assistants from any time zones are welcome. I don’t have a huge budget per hour however I like to pay what someone is worth so that they are happy working with me and feel that they are being appreciated for their good skills and work ethics, so please do quote a rate that you will be happy to work for on an ongoing basis – ideally I’d like to have a long term reliable assistant!
Here are just an idea of some of the tasks:
Transcription (quite a lot of this)
Copy typing
Research on a variety of topics
Make calls to arrange appointments
Restaurant bookings
Hotel bookings
Train bookings
Writing blog posts and other articles
Excel spreadsheets
Emails to clients to arrange meetings or request information
Online purchases for delivery
Chasing refunds
Chasing various companies for a variety of things
Document formatting, tidying up
Proofreading / editing
Ad-hoc calls as required (Use of Skype to call landlines around the world is fine, or whatever other method you use)
** Please only apply if you have the ability to do everything listed. This is very important – I need an all-round skilled VA not someone “mono-skilled”. **
