OUTBOUND TELEPHONE TASKS
The task is too obtain x 2 essential pieces of key personal contact details and preferably 3 additional "opportunist" pieces of key personal contact information from 100 x businesses using outbound telephone calls. You will be given a list of 100 x business names, addresses and telephone numbers. The task will be to telephone the business and obtain the following pieces of information 1. The FIRST NAME AND SURNAME of the BUYER within the business for the products we hope to sell to them 2. The PERSONAL BUSINESS EMAIL address of the BUYER for future marketing and contact purposes. If possible, in the same telephone call, we would like you to try and obtain the following additional pieces of information 1. The JOB TITLE of the BUYER (e.g. owner, buyer, showroom manager) 2. The name of the GATEKEEPER (a term we use for the person who answered the telephone) and 3. The JOB TITLE of the GATEKEEPER.
*CRITICALLY IMPORTANT – This information must ONLY be obtained by telephone calls directly to the business. Using LinkedIn or any other online or offline databases does not get accurate results. We can identify information sourced from these places easily by doing a search ourselves. The number of bounced emails tells us when the task has not been completed on the telephone. If we identify that the data submitted WAS NOT obtained by telephone, then we will not mark the task complete and our feedback will reflect that the brief was not followed. *
WHAT WILL BE SUPPLIED?
For the successful shortlist of freelancers that we identify, a more detailed document with more precise objectives will be emailed. Also a quick and easy SCRIPT for you to follow which will make this task easy. We have perfected the timings and words of this script and we know that on average you will complete 20 x sets of company data per 1 hour of telephone calls. This timing also allows for entering into the spreadsheet all the correct information. As you get more comfortable with the SCRIPT, you will likely increase this to 25 sets of company data per hour.
Also an excel or (google if you prefer) spreadsheet document with all the basic address and telephone information supplied and then empty labelled columns for the data you will collate. A snippet sample of the data is attached to this post.
SECONDARY DATA BASED TASKS
It may be the case that sometimes the company name, address and telephone number we hold may be out of date. The company may have moved premises and therefore addresses and telephone numbers may have changed. Companies may have been bought out and the company name changed. Using Google Search, part of the task is too update this information to be accurate in every respect.
INCOMPLETE DATA AND TASK CHECKING
If a company will not respond or is found not to exist, this can be marked in the spreadsheet as "unobtainable" or "no longer exists". The full payment will still be payable. However the data and contact data will be checked for accuracy before payment is made. We really don't want to see generic details entered such as "sales@thecompany.co.uk" when the personal business email address of the buyer is really john.doe@thecompany.co.uk . Similarly, the task is too identify the CORRECT person in the business who would be responsible for buying the products we sell, not just any employee that answers the telephone.
THE RIGHT FREELANCER
Will speak English as a first language, this is mandatory and non negotiable.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR FURTHER FREELANCING
If you are accurate and get us the right information by interpreting the brief properly, and you are effective and represent our business in a professional way, then the opportunities to do similar tasks with us are great. We have lots of available work doing this!
