The Company
We are a small high technology manufacturer of industrial electronics supplying many of the world's multi-national food producers. All our products are innovative technology solutions to the market. Although small, the company is a leader in its field, with few competitors.
Our offices are located in Brentford, W London within easy reach of the Piccadilly Line or South West Trains (out of Waterloo and Clapham Junction).
The Role
The role is a mix of office administration and PA which includes both the usual secretarial responsibilities and the running of the office. This is a busy role which will need someone who is capable of multi-tasking and enjoys building relationships with business customers, contractors and suppliers. The ideal person will be a self starter who is able to work in a small team, one of three people in the office. In addition, they will be able to work on their own, as required to ensure the smooth running of operations while the MD and Field Service Engineer are travelling. A solid common sense approach, can-do attitude and good sense of humor are essential. The company consists of a friendly and hardworking team that thrives on the best.
We are ideally looking for someone to work 3-5 half days per week to start with a medium term plan to work on permanent basis.
Key Skills and Attributes
• Experience in a B2B commercial company and support position, preferably at senior level
• High professional standards at all times, discreet and trustworthy
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and other database packages
• Mature and confident phone manner
• Enjoys working in and organising a small team, where perceptiveness and
willingness to help is invaluable
• Extremely organised
• Fluency in one major European second language (preferably German,)
• Ability to ‘multi-task’ and prioritise effectively and appropriately
• Quick to identify potential problems/conflicts and take initiative in
resolving them with poise
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Strong Computer skills, must include all MS Office packages, but also some
Internet and website management an added asset.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Quick to learn
