I have a Microsoft Excel 97 database with 16,000 entries in it, which is a cumulative database made up from a variety of different Excel databases which have been compiled together. Unfortunately, although the data entries largely match the correct columns that they should be in, a lot of the data entries need transferring to the correct columns, so that all the data is in the right columns, and data which isn't useful/relevant, is deleted. Thereafter, I need to ensure that the names of certain key columns all agree, as there is considerable variance around the names of these columns and then I need to manually de-duplicate certain entries. All without corrupting the database. The work itself isn't complex, it just requires a) expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel b) common sense c) patience.
