Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
>>> Overview.
I need you to collect some data (about dry cleaners) from Google Maps and put it into a form.
>>> Payment
You get 1 point for every correct dry cleaner added.
You get 0 points for every duplicate dry cleaner (where the same person is there twice).
I subtract 5 points for every cleaner with an error - if the information is incorrect or it’s in the wrong place. I'm sorry about this, but it could be a disaster for our business if we have incorrect information!
I can do about 180 cleaners per hour, but I expect you to be a little slower. I expect you to do about 120 cleaners per hour, and I pay £5 for 120 points.
I want 1000 cleaners for the £42, which should take approximately 8.2 hours.
There is an additional £10 reward for completing the task on time.
If you do less than 1000 cleaners, you will get less than the full amount. E.g, 500 cleaners for £21.
If you do 1000 on time, you get £42 plus the £10 bonus, which is £52.
>>> The task.
Go on this link:
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/search/dry+cleaners/@51.5089872,-0.1482906,11z
Each of those dots is a dry cleaner in London. To get the information out, click the dot to have the information shown in the top left of the screen. To get the Longitude and Latitude, right-click on the dot and click "what's here" from the dropdown menu (described in detail below).
We want to take the information about each dot and put it into our system. To enter information into the map, I will give you a form on our website for you to fill in. I will send you a link if you win the job.
On the page that I give you, go to the bottom, and click “create”. This will give you the form to be filled in.
(If you run out of dots on the link above, got to this one below. Be careful - there may be dots that appear on both)
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/search/launderette/@51.5089872,-0.1482906,11z/data=!3m1!4b1
Fill out that form with the following information about each dot:
Name: Name of cleaner
Lat: “Latitude”.
Lng: “Longitude”
Find the Latitude and Longitude by right clicking exactly on the dot on google maps, clicking “What’s here”. At the top left, in grey, you will have two co-ordinates. There are long numbers. For example, 51.515824, -0.137304. The first number is the Latitude, in this example, 51.515824. The second number is the Longitude, in this example, -0.137304.
Address: Copy & Paste the FIRST LINE of the address. Do not include “London” or the postcode. So for example:
If the address is:
"10 Marshall St
London W1F 7EL"
Then in the address box, put "10 Marshall St"
Postcode: Copy & Paste the postcode. A Postcode looks like this: W1F 7EL.
Price: Leave alone ("b")
Rating: Leave alone ("5")
Open monday: “Opening time on monday.”. If the opening times are on google maps, they MUST be included. The format that you need to use to enter this information is 24 hour clock. So for 9am, enter “9:00” in the box. for 5pm, enter “17:00” (without quote marks).
You need to fill in all the opening and closing times if they are available.
