Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hello,
This job is for an exciting funded online start up business. We have the intention of working with new data entry freelancers on a very ongoing and long term basis.
The job spec is fairly simple, but BEFORE bidding please take the time to read this entire bid and answer everything we have asked for. If you simply bid without doing this your bid will be rejected automatically.
Job Spec:
* Your role will be to work daily for 8 hours per day collecting sales leads and populating a google docs sheet for our business. We are flexible on working times but a good portion of that 8 hours must fall between the hours of 9am GMT to 5pm GMT so they we can contact you.
* You will be given website links, documents, or information in a variety of forms which we will post into basecamp (our project management tool) and assign to you. Applying some common sense ensuring the correct information is obtained, you are to populate a google docs sheet for us. Emphasis for us is on both QUALITY and SPEED.
Our budget is currently 100 GBP per month. A per lead fee will be paid and you will have daily targets to hit (at least 200 records per day).
Skills you need in order to do this job:
If you don't now have ALL of the above please do not bid.
1) Fluent in English and can communicate well via skype chat.
2) Access to skype daily during all working hours
3) Reliable. If you are unable to work or have any problems you are expected to communicate them with us in advance.
4) Efficient, you must have experience with data entry before and be fast but importantly accurate with your work.
Our budgets are fixed so please do not contact us to negotiate. We will look to revise figures as performance grows but the figures are based on the fact we can supply this work consistently for the next 2 years minimum.
If you are interest, to bid please do the following. If you do not answer any of the questions below you will not be considered for the work. In your answer please include both the question and the answer so we can quickly make a decision.
1) The work is for an ethical marketplace I run. My name is Jason Dainter and I am one of the co-founders. Please tell us what the website is called, its URL, and one sentence (no more) explaining in summary what you think our business does. Tip: use Google, this information is not hard to find.
2) Explain one role in which you did similar work in the past. use no more than 500 characters in your answer.
3) Imagine we gave you a job to enter in sales leads and one of the fields you needed to store was "country" (entering in where the sales leads country of origin was). the leads will be used to send out mass newsletters to these potential customers. When entering this country in it is important for effective data entry to enter in "Great Britain" instead of "GB" or "England" because:
a) The data entered should be "normalised" so that when sending out newsletters its easy to filter recipients by their country.
b) Great Britain is the official and correct name for England, Scotland, Wales and part of Ireland so its important to use the correct name for this.
c) Its due to the well known marketing "Rule of Jasona" which suggests that recipients will respond better to data that contains a politically correct name.
d) Its easier to type Great Britain
Please indicate the one correct answer below in your answer.
4) Finish off this sentance. "I think that when doing data entry its important to enter all telephone numbers in the same way, for example 00447767656453, because... (YOUR ANSWER)"
5) Finish off this sentence. "I dot consider products that are simply hand made to be "ethical" or "eco-friendly". This is because...(YOUR ANSWER)"
We will be giving these jobs to those who answer our instructions in the best and most accurate way so please read then re-read above.
Good luck and we look forward to working with you!
