I need help with 10 questions - Anthropology
Have all the notes for these. will share all the notes with you. Here are the 10 questions i need help with 1. Explain how two of the following thinkers owe a debt to enlightenment philosophy: Tylor, Morgan Malinowski, Durkheim. 2. Let’s suppose that a hominid species 2 million years ago contracted an illness. Could the effects of this illness possibly be mitigated by a placebo? Why or why not? Your explanation should include information from the lecture notes and the readings. 3. Week two’s lecture notes discuss “the paradox of culture”. Explain this paradox and its applicability to Pahari culture. 4. Explore how evolutionist principles are either upheld or undermined in one of the course videos or readings. 5. The lecture notes discuss the function of “magic” in the lives of “primitive” people. How is this function similar to, or different from, the function of “witchcraft” for the Azande? 6. Discuss the presence of objectivism and reflexivity in “Body Ritual among the Nacirema”. Use specific examples from the text, and material from the lecture notes. 7. Trouillot describes the semiotic construction of the “savage”. To what extent does Alison Davis succumb to this construction or negate it? Use details from the lecture notes and specific examples from the Davis text. 8. In week five, we discussed the incommensurability of reflexivity and cultural relativism. Are the two incompatible? Your response should include evidence from one or more ethnographic texts that we’ve encountered thus far. 9. How does Roughgarden revise traditional notions of family? Use specific examples from the Roughgarden text and the lecture notes. 10. The evolutionary framework presupposes, what Fabian calls, the “allochronistic fallacy”. Critiques of anthropology have often presupposed that the discipline is itself “evolving”. Do you think that these critiques succumb to a type of “allochronism”? Use specific examples from the lecture notes and the readings to support your response. Your response should also demonstrate a thorough command of Fabian’s ideas.

I need a artist to create an image/ picture
I am creating some educational lessons using anthropology as a theme. This lesson focuses on gift economies and the work of Bronislaw Malinowski (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronisław_Malinowski) his work in the Trobriand Islands (a gift economy know as the KULA ring) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaxjxICgahc). I am wanting an image the pupils will respond to in the sense of them trying explain the feelings/ actions of those involved in the image. 2 ideas are possible (see uploads). 1-the actual act of exchange, where the first reponse is not enthusiasm for the gift (pupils can guess why this is the case, make comparisons with christmas where we express joy) 2-The setting off on the boats on a dangerous journey often in treacherous waters to exchange 'meaningless' gifts. A powerful image of them struggling through the waves could get the pupils to speculate about why they do it. I am open to suggestions!! There is numerous work to follow, so I hope to get something up and running for the rest of the project.

Writer for an education website aimed at high school students and teachers
Num. of articles: Tens, potentially hundreds Words per article: 400 - 1000 Blog/website url: www.unifrog.org Information for the blog/website: We help young people find and apply for their best next step after high school. We also make it easier for teachers to track their students' progress. We now want to create many articles which will help students and teachers make decisions. Industry: Education Topic: University applications in the UK, USA and elsewhere, Apprenticeships Tone: Instructional/Educational Outline & Structure: We have several different content-creation projects going at the moment that we need help with. This totals tens of articles. If you are good you could end up writing hundreds of articles for us. Here is a summary of the two projects we need help with first: 1. 'Wider reading' We take particular subjects, like 'Anthropology' or 'Sociology', and collate the best wider reading that young people could do to learn more about the subject in question. 2. University Application processes in different countries We have articles written about the application process in different countries, normally fitting into categories like, 'Why you might want to apply', 'How to apply', and 'Finance'. So you might write an article about 'Why you might want to go to university in Spain'. For both projects we have plenty of examples you can follow. Our writing has a fairly straightforward, practical tone, with a soft undercurrent of wry humour. For subjects that are unfamiliar to you we are likely to be able to put you directly in touch with experts who can share their expertise. For example if you were writing about applying to university in Spain, we could put you in touch with someone who teaches in an international high school in Spain, as well as a representative from a Spanish university. The articles cover interesting content, and have a social purpose in that you will be creating materials that help young people and teachers make better decisions. In terms of working for us - we already have lots of topics to cover, we give feedback quickly, and we pay quickly. If you are good we will keep throwing work at you! Extensive research needed: yes Extra notes: You are likely to be reporting directly to Alex Kelly, founder of Unifrog. Unifrog is a multi-award winning startup on a mission to transform Careers Guidance in the UK and abroad. Our online platform makes it easy for students to find and apply for university courses in the UK, USA and the Netherlands, as well as UK apprenticeships and Further Education courses. We also help teachers to track their students' progress and give good guidance. In just four years we have become the market leader, lauded by students, teachers, politicians and business leaders. From a standing start, more than 20% of UK secondary schools now use Unifrog. We have a committed and dynamic team, a growing set of products, a very strong reputation in our market, and a rapidly increasing customer base. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and driven Customer Service Manager to maximize the effectiveness of the team and help propel our growth. Student Society Facebook Banner
Target audience: Students Kind of design: Facebook cover Design details: I need a high res banner image for a humanities society at university. The 10 areas of humanities are: Arts , Anthropology, Archaeology, Classics, History, Linguistics and languages, Law and politics, Literature, Philosophy, Religion. The best way I could think to incorporate each of these areas in the banner was to make it in the style of a Greek Mural. See the reference image I included, where each character represents 1 or 2 of these subjects. The black and gold are nice colours so stick with those. The banner also needs to incorporate a bust / depiction of a owl and a wolf on either ends. The owl and the wolf represent Athena and Apollo, the Greek gods of knowledge and wisdom, hence the ancient greek mural style. The banner needs to have the title 'Humanities' incorporated into the design, maybe on top as a heading? As for the typography, something in keeping with the established theme but easy to read. I'm happy for you to use a combination of imagery and illustration. It's just a university society so you don't need to worry about commercial licensing for every asset used. But keep it consistent and high enough res so we can blow it up and print it. Any questions or suggestions let me know. Ideas for the visual style: Greek Mural Things to avoid: Flashy in you're face graphics Preferred colors: Gold & Black Extra notes:
