Videographer, Photographer and Copywriter

Creative videographer, video editor, photographer and copywriter. I'm a passionate and dedicated cameraman and Final Cut Pro editor with further... skills in photography and copywriting. I am a graduate of the University of East Anglia with a first class honours degree in film and television studies. Predominantly I write music, film and culture articles in a number of different styles for a range of clients. I write features, reviews, press releases, interviews, lists and academic essays. I mostly work as a freelance videographer, as a self-shooting DSLR director and editor. For a long time I have been writing, shooting and editing short films, promo videos, music videos and have gained professional experience with the BBC, Channel 4 and independent production companies. I edit on Final Cut Studio 2 using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop where necessary and shoot on a Canon EOS 60D in full HD. In the field of copywriting my experience ranges from writing and editing at a professional regional newspaper, as the music editor of my student newspaper, a writer for several UK culture magazines. Over the past 10 years I have allowed myself to have a varied career within the worlds of TV, digital... marketing and video production. I am a freelance cameraman/ editor and produce 3-4 minute videos that range from promotional to educational. I have previously... been hired by companies including ITV, V-inspired, ODMTV, Education Resource Trust and Psychic-TV. I understand the process and importance of capturing the essence of a character. My particular camera style is finding the beauty within close-ups with the intention to draw the viewers emotion whilst viewing the video; whether laugh or to cry but essentially to connect with the person they are watching. My ambition is to become a recognised producer for the British Film industry. I edit using Avid and Premier; however my preference is Final Cut Pro, because of the extensive range regarding image and sound correction. I have extensive knowledge in Adobe After Effects for post-production titling with kinetic typography and Adobe photoshop, illustrator and In-design for image correction. I own an industry Canon 5D Mark ii camcorder and Libec tripod and 3x wireless radio microphones. I have a full/clean driving licence and live in Hammersmith, London, which makes traveling around the UK nice and easy!
