- Solar Water PLC who scaled to employ 5-10 professionals and exported 100% of their Turnover. They provided an Engineering solution to the Middle East which desalinated sea water using Solar Energy for seawater to be capable of being used in Industrial and Domestic setting. - Jonathan Lea Network (Solicitors) Again I wrote the initial Business Plan for Jonathan, the sole founder. The law firm now employs 25 just outside Guilford Surrey (https://www.jonathanlea.net/)
I've also been a voluntary mentor for the past 3 years on the Northern Power Women 'Powerup Networking' scheme to assist Northern based graduates in their first role post degree in 'the real world' (https://wearepower.net/community/events)
I have 25 year's experience as a Chartered Accountant including 6 years training with Deloitte. Most of my time post qualification was in PLC Head Office roles in London on the Analysis side of things...working with Senior Managers to present opportunities and recommend courses of action and preparing monthly papers for Group Directors meetings so I've very comfortable with the Strategic side of analysing performance suggesting new courses of action...,potential new market opportunities, new products or services, moving into adjacent markets, looking at competitor's positioning etc.
I've also in my career been involved with a PLC Stock Market Listing, fundings from existing investors and positioning many Investment propositions for startup/scaleups
