Set up automatic database backups and prove them with a restore

Your database is the one part of the app you can't rebuild from code. Most backups are only tested on the day something breaks, and that is when people find out they were empty or a week old.

I'll set up backups for your MySQL or PostgreSQL database and prove they work with a real restore.

What you get:
- Automatic daily backups, stored away from the server (S3, Backblaze or another server in your name)
- A retention plan you choose, for example 7 daily, 4 weekly and 6 monthly copies
- Encrypted backup files
- A full restore to a separate database, with row counts compared against live
- Written restore steps your team can follow without me
- An email or Telegram alert if a backup fails or gets suspiciously small

I've worked with PostgreSQL and MySQL across six years of commercial projects and deploy apps with Docker on Linux servers.

The fixed price covers one database up to about 20 GB. Before you order, tell me the database type, its size and where it's hosted. Storage costs are paid by you directly to the provider, usually a few pounds a month.
