I'm Janka, the owner of JMH Bookkeeping. I provide experienced bookkeeping, finance and business support to businesses across the UK.
My background includes running an accounts department and working as an Estate Accountant for a large private landowner.
I'll carry out a focused review of your existing bookkeeping records, identify areas that may need attention and provide practical recommendations on what to do next.
What's included:
• Review of your bookkeeping setup and a sample of transactions from the last three months.
• Check of the status of your bank reconciliations.
• Review of how sales, purchases and outstanding balances are recorded.
• Identification of apparent discrepancies, missing information or areas requiring further investigation.
• A short written report outlining my findings and recommended next steps.
Additional work:
If the review identifies issues requiring further investigation or additional work, I will explain what is needed and provide a separate quotation.
Additional work is normally charged at £55 per hour, or at an agreed fixed price where appropriate.
No additional work will be undertaken or charged without your prior approval through PeoplePerHour.
Where the information provided is incomplete or the work required exceeds the agreed scope, I will discuss the options with you before proceeding.
Delivery
The review will be completed within three working days of receiving all the necessary information and access, subject to PeoplePerHour's agreed delivery deadline.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
To carry out your bookkeeping review, I'll need:
1. The name of your business and a brief description of what you do.
2. Details of the accounting software you currently use.
3. Read-only access to your accounting software, where available, or copies of the relevant accounting reports.
4. Bank reconciliation reports and relevant sales and purchase information for the period being reviewed.
5. Details of any particular concerns or areas you'd like me to look at.
Please do not send passwords or sensitive banking information through ordinary messages.
Once I have received the necessary information, I'll confirm that everything is in place to begin the review.
