I have extensive experience providing senior HR advice, managing complex employee relations matters, supporting organisational change and delivering practical HR solutions to managers and organisations.
HR Experience:
• Managing day-to-day sickness and absence cases, including supporting managers with sickness hearings and appeals.
• Managing capability and performance cases, supporting managers with performance management, including distinguishing between capability (“can’t do”) and conduct (“won’t do”), and supporting hearings and appeals.
• Managing conduct cases, including supporting investigations, hearings and appeals.
• Managing grievance, bullying and harassment cases, including supporting investigations, hearings and appeals.
This includes complex and sensitive matters such as sexual harassment and racial discrimination cases.
• Analysing and interpreting HR data to support decision-making and workforce management.
• Conducting workplace investigations relating to grievance, bullying and harassment, and conduct matters.
• Writing clear, evidence-based investigation reports.
• Managing large-scale organisational change, service redesign and TUPE transfers, both incoming and outgoing.
• Supporting and managing voluntary redundancy processes.
• Supporting Compromise Agreements/COT3 processes.
• Supporting organisations and managers in relation to Employment Tribunal matters.
• Leading and implementing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategies and objectives, including inclusive recruitment and inclusive leadership.
• Leading on staff health and wellbeing strategies and objectives.
• Chairing a BAME Network.
• Delivering 1:1 coaching.
• Designing and delivering group training, including conflict resolution, mediation, difficult conversations and tailored bite-sized workshops on local and national HR policies and procedures.
• Writing and reviewing HR policies and procedures, including Sickness and Absence, Change Management, Pay Protection, Alcohol and Substance Misuse, Maternity Leave, Equal Opportunities and Diversity, and Respect and Dignity at Work.
• Developing toolkits, guidance and flowcharts to support the implementation of policies and procedures.
• Job evaluation experience, including desktop evaluations, JE panels and supporting managers with reviewing and writing new job descriptions.
