I am an administrative professional with more than 28 years experience. I am seeking opportunities to sharpen those skills, learn new ones and put it all to work for you!
I have developed my skill as a data entry and administrative professional and I am constantly learning new skills, because I believe in having a massive skill-set. I have worked in many different situations and handled many different types of projects. I was a cryptologic technician in the US Navy, who possessed a Top Secret Security Clearance, working for the CINCLANTFLT command (The Commander-in-Chief of the Atlantic Fleet). I was a long-term postal worker (6 years) once I detached from the Navy. I was a firefighter, for 6 years, but had to quit after acquiring lung damage. These and other eclectic experiences have combined to create a somewhat unique set of skills. I have an array of office and clerical skills. I have editing and proofreading skills as well. I perform general and medical transcription. I can perform business intelligence, research on just about anything and compile the information in easy to read reports.
I learned the necessity of attention-to-detail in many different venues, but never so much as when I was enlisted and when I was actively nursing. I know the necessity of attention-to-detail, and have a laser focus when it comes to small details. An RN in an ICU cannot simply "miss something". Those oversights kill people. I am fastidious about following instructions as stated by specifications and I take direction with ease. I crave constructive criticism, because I want to do the very best job possible. I am a stickler for the small touches, for sometimes they count far more than the obvious things. I am a Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Alabama since 2005. Included in my eclectic experiences are my tour in the US Navy as a Cryptologic Technician/Operations, working directly for the Commander-in-Chief of the Atlantic Fleet and my six years as a paid volunteer fire fighter. All of these experiences combine to create a somewhat unique set of skills.
With excellent interpersonal skills, a knack for humor of all sorts and a love of writing, I am also pursuing some creative writing projects. I have an imagination without end, am known as an "out-of-the-box" thinker. "Out-of-the-box" thinking brings resourcefulness. I love to tell a good story too.
Integrity and honesty and a dauntless work ethic are so important to me. I place moral values in the highest regard and continue daily to become a progressively better person.
I also have call center and customer service experience as well. I never quit learning, as the more software, programs, skills and applications that I am proficient in, the more opportunity will find me and the more value I am able to offer you!
If you have a project of any length that you think may fit my skill-set, then please, by all means, invite me to interview. We can talk about how I could best serve your need.

Work Experience
-----------------
Summary: During my career, I've gone from sailor, to firefighter, to registered nurse, but I have always been an Administrative/Clerical assistant at heart. I have excellent office management skills, time management skills and interpersonal skills. I have worked in many positions that allowed me to grow in this skill set. Even the non-clerical positions allowed me the opportunity to learn clerical skills. My position in the Navy was primarily clerical. I had to perform clerical duties at my fire station, and nurses must document heavily everything done, seen or said. My varied background will serve as an asset to the right employer.
