I have always prided myself on creating great copy within tight deadlines - but still at a really high standard. I am also now a successful Trust Fundraiser, working within the third sector to write bespoke applications to major UK grantmaking Trusts and Foundations.
I am a trained researcher and also am a capable social scientist - if you need help gaining evidence for policy development, get in touch! I have worked for public, private and third sector clients and am known for my friendly approach to business, as well as my high standards. I work remotely which means that not only can I work across the UK and English speaking world, it means you can get London standards of service without the London price tag - my overheads in the North are a lot lower than 'down South'....
I have specialist skills in creating copy for web pages, which need to capture attention whichever page a person lands on - you may only get one chance to catch their interest after all. I also have written several successful grant applications on behalf of clients, as well as brochures, covering letters and a myriad of other briefs. I have most recently been writing academic papers for a company in Newcastle, and have had all of my submitted work accepted and approved.

Summary: I have over two year's of Trust fundraising experience, as well as writing bespoke emails and appeal letters for a large local charity, with a £5 million turnover. My annual fundraising target is £140,000, which I achieve in 15 hours per week, with no administration support or line-management. I am entirely responsible for project outlines, costing, planning application schedules and maintaining relationships with grant making Trusts, whilst approaching newer Trusts to establish a working relationship. I have successfully secured funding from a number of major organisations, including Garfield Weston, Henry Smith and BBC Children In Need (Major Grant). I can also write compelling campaign literature and also donor packs, including Regular Giving calls to action and educational packs for schools.
