All round, experienced IT specialist, especially in legacy software. Need someone to write a Unix, dos, or power-shell script? I'm on it! That's just for starters. I love that stuff! I can however, provide an all-round service, based on several years behind my desk, playing with databases, scripts, programming and development, testing, and configuring servers and supporting various legacy and modern systems. With over 20 years experience to call on, I recently decided to re-visit Freelancing, after being in the corporate world for so long. I like the idea of the freedom, and delivering to clients specific results and outcomes, without worrying too much about office politics!
I can provide knowledge and experience in Unix, code development in old and new languages such as C# and classic ASP, and general remote support, or in some cases, face to face onsite support.
I am open minded, to the types of projects I am willing to take on, with the proviso that a task is within my current skill sets and the price is right. I work hard to provide you with delivery of your product/solution/documentation/training in a reasonable time. I pride myself on delivering on time, as stated to an agreed date.
I also provide user guides/technical documentation for your software in addition to onsite or remote training for your employees should you require these additional services.
Some companies I have worked for include:
Halifax bank of Scotland
Wanadoo PLC
Equifax,
SCT International,
