I can proofread your document for spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes, and make concrete editing suggestions of where and how you might improve phrasing, structure, syntax, tone (what is your target audience or publication?). A computer can proofread your basic typos, but cannot make a qualitative analysis of the sense of your writing.
I hold a BA Hons in Languages from the University of Oxford, and an MA from the University of London. I am experienced in writing and editing academic thesis dissertations, legal and formal documents, business emails, and business correspondence, composed by native speakers of English as well as by writers of English as a second language. I have worked in international business for 5 years, focused in commerce, law, and communications, and my academic background is linguistic and literary.

I charge $35 per assignment, or per 1000 words. I am able to work remotely, or on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
