I have a BA in English and...Read moreHi there, I am a qualified and experienced proofreader and editor. I work on manuscripts, poetry, articles, blogs and even the occasional academic piece! I have a BA in English and my other job is as a teacher specialising in teaching Literacy...hopefully these are good credentials for my proofreading and editing accuracy! I also teach various business courses.
I love appraising manuscripts. I have worked on many with returning clients so that is a good sign. I work with the writer, respecting their voice but keeping an eye on what the market will buy. I only ever offer constructive criticism.
I write travel articles, profiles, CVs, and articles for the self-employed. I am passionate about writing and will turn my hand to just about anything. I have written for travel magazines, a face and body artist magazine called Illusion and regularly write reviews of books both for my own blog site as well as for online and print journals. My writing is snappy and informative. I am not one for huge amounts of jargon, my work is readable. My interests revolve around literature, writing profiles, writing travel, (I am Australian born and bred but live in the UK so can write for an expat audience as well), motherhood, singlehood, education, business and the art of writing.
I am willing to work remotely for anywhere in the world, I can travel to meetings with UK clients for reasonable mileage. I am professional, hardworking, enthusiastic and brimming over with ideas.
