Multimodal Document Intelligence — Text, Tables & Images

I will build a multimodal document intelligence system — processing documents that contain text, tables, charts, and embedded images simultaneously, extracting structured data from all modalities, and delivering a unified understanding of complex documents that text-only OCR and extraction systems miss entirely. Text-only document processing misses critical information in complex business documents — financial reports where the key insight is in a chart, technical specifications where the dimensions are in an image, and data sheets where the specifications are in a table formatted in a way that OCR mangles — multimodal document processing handles all of these correctly.

The system covers PDF-to-image rendering, vision-language model analysis for text, table, and image content, structured extraction across modalities, table parsing with structure preservation, chart data extraction, and unified output combining all modality-specific extractions.
