What the Freelancer needs to start the work
To get started, I’ll need the following:
Your current email system details (IMAP hostnames, provider, and mailbox count/sizes)
Access to your Microsoft 365 tenant (or confirmation you want me to set this up)
Admin access for both environments:
Current mail platform admin credentials
Microsoft 365 admin credentials
A list of mailboxes to migrate (email addresses, display names, and any priority users)
Your preferred migration window (weekday/weekend and target dates)
DNS access (or contact details for whoever manages DNS) to update MX, Autodiscover, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC if needed
Confirmation of backups (or I can include backup checks before migration)
Any special user requirements (aliases, shared mailboxes, forwarding, permissions, mobile setup)
Preferred communication method for project updates (email, Teams, phone)
Once I have this, I can confirm scope, timeline, and the migration plan.
