This last year I designed and (some lovely Brazilians) built an online brand positioning tool for me.
The tool has competitive analysis built in.

I'll be using this tool and once I've analysed your market to identify what your customers like and expect from a business in your market, I'll research your competitors and chart them against each other to identify where they have similarities and highlight their USPs (unique selling points).

I'll then send you a link and ask you to answer up to 8 questions using radio buttons on my tool. These answers will position you amongst your competitors. When you've answered your questions, I'll take over and finish my analysis, deliver it to you and we'll set up a time to go over your results.

*It is important that your competitors have websites that I can review. It is better that you have one as well as the analysis is better, but I can probably do a chart without yours if you are just building your business.
*This will be a snapshot in time. Businesses evolve and change messages/values/selling features all the time. I am reviewing your competitors' online presence and providing my expert opinion on what I see the brand saying to the world about themselves.
