LLM Context Window Management — Long Document Processing System

I will build a context window management system for processing long documents with your LLM — covering document chunking with overlap, sliding window processing for sequential tasks, map-reduce patterns for summarisation and extraction at scale, and a token budget manager ensuring prompts stay within model limits while maximising relevant context. Every LLM has a context window limit, and applications that naively truncate long documents to fit the limit silently discard potentially critical information; a proper context management system makes deliberate decisions about what to include, exclude, and prioritise rather than blindly cutting content at the token boundary.

The system covers document chunking with configurable overlap, token counting and budget management, map-reduce processing for large document summarisation, sliding window for sequential extraction tasks, and a context prioritisation strategy ranking content by relevance to the query before window filling.
