She was 39 years old and left behind two very young children. In the aftermath of that loss I had to find words for the unsurvivable, parent children through unimaginable grief, and rebuild who I was from the ground up.
That experience is what I bring to every word I write.
I specialize in mental health content, grief, suicide awareness, and suicide prevention — not because I studied it, but because I lived it. I write personal essays, blog posts, awareness articles, and content for organizations and individuals who need a voice that is honest, human, and real.
I am also the author of The Color of Love by Erin Godkin, a children's book about grief available on the Kindle app — born from the same loss and the same belief that the right words at the right time can change everything.
If you need a writer who understands what it means to walk through the darkest kind of loss and come out the other side still standing — I'm your person.
