What the Freelancer needs to start the work
To get started, please send as much of the following as you can:
- A short description of the backend bug, web app issue, or feature change
- What is currently happening
- What should happen instead
- Any error messages, logs, screenshots, or broken pages
- Steps to reproduce the issue, if you know them
- The technology/framework used, if you know it
- Any affected routes, API endpoints, database queries, or user flows
- Access to the code, repository, staging site, or files needed to investigate
- Any test credentials or setup instructions needed to run/test the project
If you are not sure about some of this, that is completely fine. Just send what you have and I’ll guide you from there.
Please avoid sharing sensitive production secrets unless they are genuinely needed. If credentials, API keys or database access are required, test credentials or temporary access are best where possible.
