What you get with this Offer
Divorce may legally end your marriage, but it doesn’t automatically sever the financial ties between you and your ex. Unless you formalise a financial settlement, your former spouse retains the right to apply to the court for a financial claim at any time in the future, right up until they remarry or pass away. That risk doesn’t expire with your decree absolute.
This means that any future financial gain, whether it’s a new job, a pay rise, an inheritance, pension growth, or even a lottery win, could be exposed to a claim, even decades after your divorce. Without a formal agreement, your financial future remains vulnerable.
The most effective way to protect yourself is through a Consent Order. If you and your ex-partner can agree on how to divide your assets, this document legally records that agreement and prevents any further financial claims. It’s the clean break the law doesn’t automatically provide.
A Consent Order is a binding financial contract approved by a Family Court Judge. It sets out how your money, property, pensions, savings, and any maintenance payments will be shared. Both parties sign after providing financial disclosure, and the order is submitted as part of your divorce proceedings. In short, a Consent Order gives you clarity, closure, and peace of mind.
This service provides a basic Consent Order, suitable for most couples. It covers straightforward arrangements such as Selling the family home or one party buying out the other’s share to retain the property
If you need additional provisions—such as pension sharing, spousal or child maintenance, or a delayed sale of property—these can be added as bolt-ons. For more complex financial situations, including rental portfolios, business interests, or layered assets, I offer tailored quotes based on your specific needs.
Why Choose Me?
I’m a fully qualified, regulated Legal Advisor based in the UK, with over 30 years of experience. Unlike others, I do not supply generic templates or AI-generated guesswork. Every document is bespoke and 'Old School' crafted with the same precision and legal integrity you’d expect from a High Street Solicitor, but without their Fat-Cat inflated fees.
I deliver professional, watertight drafting tailored to your circumstances.

What the Freelancer needs to start the work
Once you activate the Order of this Offer, I’ll be in touch to schedule an initial consultation. During this call, I’ll go over your situation, explain the process, and gather the details I need to get started.
Once we have identified your needs and received your financial details, we’ll prepare a Draft Order for your approval. After you’ve reviewed and approved the draft, I’ll finalise the Order and send you a polished, final version.
Please note, that this Offer does not include the submission of the Order or any other documentation to the Court. That remains for you to do as part of your Divorce Proceedings.
